Baseball is my favorite game and I follow it intensely. I didn’t realize this until recently when it was college football season and my alma mater was playing. I stopped paying attention to the game because I wanted to read more about Brooklyn Dodger pitcher Burleigh Grimes. No idea why, just had to know more about him.
I’m a Dodger fan; but the focus of this blog is more on baseball around the league, in the minors, in its statistical revolution and in its history. Baseball is a rich sport with a great heritage. There are wonderful stories–great moments of triumph and laughable failure–passed on like an ancient book with each generation adding their own thumbprint. That’s why I fell in love with it.
Welcome to Dingers.
